PM to lay foundation for AIIMS Deoghar on May 25, says Jharkhand health minister

RANCHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for the construction of the recently sanctioned AIIMS regional center in Deoghar during his scheduled Jharkhand visit on May 25, Jharkhand health minister Ramchandra Chandravanshi said on Tuesday.The plan for setting up of the state-of-the-art hospital was approved by the Union cabinet during its meeting on May 15. He will travel to Dhanbad and lay the foundations for several projects of the state and Union government. Jharkhand government is yet to officially announce about the projects whose groundwork will be inaugurated by the PM.Chandravanshi said the hospital will contribute immensely towards providing quality healthcare to the people of Jharkhand. Though the state government is building six new medical colleges in phased manner, Chandravanshi on Tuesday announced that his ministry will push the Union government for sanctioning another AIIMS regional-center in the state..
