Monsoon takes a 'break', delayed by one week

"The monsoon circulation pattern has weakened, as a result of which, the arrival of monsoon in Jharkhand is being obstructed. "Monsoon trough has become active over northeast India. However, IMD Ranchi said satellite imageries and data obtained through its radar shows that the trough's advance towards the state from West Bengal was halted. A synoptic system over Bay of Bengal will push the trough over Jharkhand but there is no such weather condition at present," he added..
