Jharkhand do be declared ODF on Statehood Day

RANCHI: Jharkhand is due to be announced as an open-defecation free state on its 19th Statehood Day on Thursday. Ranchi, Ramgarh, Dhanbad and Bokaro have been declared fully electrified so far. "Five lakh out of 64 lakh households are yet to be electrified, which will be done by December," he added. Jharkhand's urban settlements were declared ODF on October 2 last year.The state government also will declare Lohardaga , Hazaribag and Deoghar as fully electrified districts.Speaking to TOI, Rahul Purwar, managing director of the state-owned power distribution company JBVNL, said districts are being declared fully electrified when every household gets power.
