Summary:

In October, the Jharkhand State Protection of Child Rights had submitted a report to the government in which more than 30 shelter homes were found to be violating the norms of Juvenile Justice Act. Director of integrated child protection scheme (ICPS), D K Saxena, said, "Most of the shelter homes have already sent a reply. These shelter homes have been served a show cause notice by the department. "We have received around five to six such cases where NGOs which are not registered as CCIs are keeping children. "Instead of having a number of small CCIs, if we have one big CCI then monitoring it would become easier..
