Two students test positive for chikungunya in Khunti

When more students showed similar symptoms, a medical team from Khunti sadar hospital went to the campus for screening of students on Tuesday. Ranchi: Two students of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya ( KGBV ), Murhu in Khunti district, tested positive for chikungunya , state health department officials said on Saturday. A team of officials from Ranchi also visited the school campus after their Khunti counterparts informed them about the matter.Health officials on Saturday said the Khunti sadar hospital authorities first collected blood samples of students from the school following reports of swelling in hands and pain in finger joints.
