106 displaced families take shelter in camps

Ramgarh: Altogether 106 displaced families of the Bhairvi Jalashya dam project took shelter in relief camps after their houses were flooded with dam water. "We are seriously working on setting up a rehabilitation village with all the basic facilities which include schools, road, electricity and drinking water. The DC also ordered district supply officer Sanjeev Kumar to provide the families with subsidized food grains.The DC admitted that rehabilitation is the right of displaced people and setting up of the rehabilitation village has been delayed. The dam has not overflowed but the water has entered the villages indicating an error in the project design, said an official. He was unhappy about the issue of rehabilitation.The district administration has already raised a finger at the design of the Bhairvi Jalashya dam after an administration team led by DC Rajeshwari B inspected it..
