Old coaches, steam engines to add colour to Dhanbad stn heritage park

Summary:

The clocks that were used in railways 100 years ago are also being repaired for the park. A crane, used during the British period, has been brought from Rampurhat in West Bengal, painted and beautified for the project. It is being developed into a cafeteria at the park. A road roller equipped with a steam engine is also expected to be a big draw at the park.Saloons which were used by the British officers will also be part of the collection. A few such saloons are with the Eastern Railways and approval for their transfer has already been given by the Railway board.Umbrella fitted cycle trolleys, which were used to inspect the track, have been brought from Samastipur in Bihar.Special attention is being given to designing the wooden coaches so that the interiors replicate the look of coaches of the British era..
