DC holds meet to discuss encroachment on Tura Peak

Pointing out the increase in Areca nut plantation in Darengre and all along the hill slopes of Tura Peak, Singh said the situation was alarming and it would lead to all water sources drying up after 10 years. The DC also suggested engaging self help groups for the maintenance of picnic spots and directed the village headmen to take stern action if any illegal encroachment takes place in the areas under their jurisdiction.
