Keep identity cards always: Cops tell visitors in Meghalaya

SHILLONG: Meghalaya Police have advised visitors from outside the state to carry identity proof with them at all times to prove their citizenship. "Visitors should carry with them citizenship proof at all times to avoid detention at the infiltration check gates," SP (anti-infiltration), Shillong , Debangshu Sangma said. Seven anti-infiltration check gates have been set up along the Assam-Meghalaya border following the release of the updated NRC draft in the neighbouring state.
