Summary:

SHILLONG: With a call of 'One Voice, One Northeast ', the National People's Party (NPP) on saturday launched its Mizoram unit and its campaign for the assembly election, scheduled later this year. "The idea that NPP would be a pan-northeast party was laid by its founding leader PA Sangma. He had set the agenda for the people of the northeast, the tribals of the country, the Christians and other minorities," Conrad said. We are only taking ahead what he started. "NPP is embarking on a mission to rebuild Mizoram and restore the identity of the people of the region and make the voice and concerns of the people heard in the corridors of power in New Delhi," NPP president Conrad Sangma said. The speech was reminiscent of the last speech delivered by his father and founding member PA Sangma in Guwahati in 2016, when he said the "voice of the northeast is not sufficiently heard in Parliament, in Delhi and across the country"..
