ANTF Busts Inter State Drug Cartel Busted Drugs Worth Crores of Rupees Seized

STAFF CORRESPONDENTSHILLONG: The Meghalaya Police Anti-Narcotic Task Force (ANTF) busted another inter-state drug cartel in the past two days. Ten people hailing from Shillong, Guwahati and Nagaland were arrested in the raids that led to the recovery of 1175 grams of heroin worth around Rs 5 crore in the domestic street markets. According to the Superintendent of Police (SP) East Khasi Hills, Claudia Lyngwa, the ANTF team received specific intelligence inputs about the movement of contraband stacked in soap cases. While the latest bust is the latest achievement of the ANTF, the SP also revealed that the drug traffickers are now using the Dimapur-Guwahati road to ferry the consignments.
