Staff CorrespondentShillong: The General Executive Council (UDP) of the United Democratic Party (UDP) on Wednesday unanimously elected Metbah Lyngdoh as the president of the party. Soon after Nomination Committee Chairman announced that Metbah Lyngdoh is the choice to be the president, there was no word of dissent. In course of his address to the party functionaries, Metbah Lyngdoh categorically stated that it will be difficult to fill the void left by the late Dr Donkupar Roy. He cited the Shella constituency by-election as a challenge that all the party functionaries should work hard.
