Staff CorrespondentShillong: With an aim to increase the employability of Meghalaya's youth and provide an exposure and gainful employment to the unemployed youth to the best of corporate India, a two-day placement drive was organized at ITI Rynjah, Shillong on September 9 and 10. The event was conducted through the Labour Department under the government project “Supporting Human Capital Development in Meghalaya”(SHCDM) assisted by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). These pre-placement drives have led up to this placement drive wherein 415 candidates appeared for interviews with different employers and close to 320 candidates got selected for jobs in various sectors. The placement drive was organized with the support of the Project NGO, Aide et Action jointly with IPE Global in partnership with CII -the Managed Services Operating Partner of the Labour Department, Government of Meghalaya.
