A CORRESPONDENTSHILLONG: The Khasi Students' Union (KSU) on November 2 donated CGI sheets for repairing a school at Khlieh Umwang, under Raid Nongtung in Ri-Bhoi district dismantled by Assam police last year. The KSU alleged that it had urged the State government to repair the Lower Primary School but they never paid heed to the request. Therefore we took upon ourselves the responsibility to repair the school,” the KSU said. According to the Khasi Students' Union, presently the school is functioning with a temporary structure which is no more than a cowshed.
