Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides celebrates Rajya Puraskar Rally

A ReporterSHILLONG: The 69th Foundation Day and Rajya Puraskar Rally of the Bharat Scouts and Guides on the theme “Plastic Free India” was held at the lawns of the Raj Bhavan here on Thursday. Meghalaya Governor Tathagata Roy, who is also the patron of the Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Also present were the State Additional State Chief Commissioner, Bharat Scouts and Guides, CP Gotmare, Commissioners of the Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides and parents of awardeess. Earlier, 65 Guides and 3 Rangers, 58 Scouts and 5 Rovers were presented with the Rajya Puraskar Rally. On the day, the Governor released the Scouts and Guides Flag and also took a Plastic Free India Pledge..
