United Democratic Party reiterates CAA concern ILP in Meghalaya

Staff CorrespondentShillong: The United Democratic Party (UDP) reiterated its opposition to the CAA even as it stressed on the implementation of the ILP in the State. Asked on the apprehensions related to ILP and it's likely to impact on the tourism industry, Lanong felt that the proposed ILP is a simplified one. Asked about the CAA which the UDP is opposing when it's own partner – the BJP is hell bent to make it possible, the UDP leaders were virtually out off words. The present Meghalaya Democratic Alliance comprises of the NPP, UDP, BJP and HSPDP, all partners of the North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA).
