Meghalaya Govt declares Shillong as a red zone COVID 19 positive cases stand at 11

Staff CorrespondentShillong: There has been no surge of COVID-19 patients in Meghalaya and the number of positive cases stands at 11. Yet, the government is taking no chances and has declared Shillong as a “red zone”. Giving a briefing on Monday, Deputy Chief Ministers Prestone Tynsong informed that besides the 11 positive cases, 838 samples were collected and 714 were tested negative. Taking into consideration the secondary contacts which the government has managed to trace, the number stands at 4,579 and all of them are under self quarantine, stated Tynsong.
