Covid-19 cases spike in Meghalaya, 8 fatalities reported

Meghalaya received 569 fresh cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours while 8 people succumbed to the deadly virus.

As on 26th July, the state`s total cases tally has reached 61,763.

The north-eastern state has 5,084 active cases currently.

The cumulative recoveries reached 55,648 after 485 under-treatment patients recovered from Covid-19 in the last 24-hours.

The total fatalities in the state have climbed to 1031 after 8 deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours.

The new cases of infection include 173 from East Khasi Hills, 85 from Ri-Bhoi, 74 from West Garo Hills, 80 from West Jaintia Hills, 9 from East Jaintia Hills, 52 from West Khasi Hills, 8 from South West Garo Hills and 6 from South Garo Hills, 52 from West Khasi Hills, 4 from East Garo Hills and 6 from North Garo Hills.
