Meghalaya received 187 fresh cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours while 11 people succumbed to the deadly virus.

As of 9th August, the state`s total cases tally has reached 69,358.

The north-eastern state has 4,734 active cases currently.

The cumulative recoveries reached 63,450 after 479 under-treatment patients recovered from Covid-19 in the last 24-hours.

The total fatalities in the state have climbed to 1174 after 11 deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours.

The new cases of infection include 95 from East Khasi Hills, 13 from Ri-Bhoi, 21 from West Garo Hills, 28 West Jaintia Hills, 3 from East Jaintia Hills, 19 from West Khasi Hills, 3 from South West Garo Hills and 2 from East Garo Hills, 19 from West Khasi Hills, 0 from South Garo hill and 2 from North Garo Hills.

South West Khasi Hills received 1 case.
