CM announces new tourism circuit for Garo Hills

SHILLONG: A new tourism circuit will be created in the scenic Garo Hills , chief minister Mukul Sangma announced on Monday. We should look at education as a one-time investment, open more schools with quality education and ensure their sustainability," the CM said. "Instead of opening more schools and institutions the state has pushed the students of the northeast to go for their studies outside the region. This has not benefitted the state. He also inaugurated the extended building of the school which was constructed under the chief minister's Special Urban Development Fund.The CM was accompanied by the minister for school education and literacy, Deborah Marak, and parliamentary secretaries Brigady Marak, Cherak W Momin, Sengnam Marak and Marthone J Sangma and others during the visit..
