MANALI: BJP MLA from Drang constituency of Mandi district in Himachal Pradesh , Jawahar Thakur was manhandled by his uncle and two nephews in a local fair at Takoli village on Tuesday.The MLA has lodged a complaint with Mandi police while his uncle has also registered a cross complaint.Sources said Thakur and his uncle Jyoti Thakur has a family dispute over some property. On Tuesday, when people from various villages had come to attend fair with palanquins of their deities, the MLA also reached Takoli with his village deity. Meanwhile, his uncle alleged that Thakur threatened him with dire consequences and was misusing his political clout to do so. DSP Padhar Madan Kant Sharma said the case has been registered and police are investigating the matter.
