House pays tribute to Atal Bihari Vajpayee, adjourned

SHIMLA: The monsoon session of the Himachal Pradesh assembly on Thursday started with members paying tributes to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee . After paying tributes, speaker Dr Rajiv Bindal adjourned the proceedings for the day. He said that Vajpayee considered Himachal as his second home and has a house at Prini in Kullu district.Leader of opposition Mukesh Agnihotri said that Vajpayee was leader above party politics and he used to take everyone along. Chief minister Jai Ram Thakur moved the condolence proposal in which members from ruling and opposition sides participated by recalling and remembering the contribution of Vajpayee to the nation and the state in particular. Earlier, Thakur said Vajpayee was a statesman and visionary leader, who was above the party politics.He said that Vajpayee had special place in his heart for the people of Himachal Pradesh and people of state would always miss his love and benevolence..
