Upset, Congress MLA walks out of House

SHIMLA: Unlike other days of the monsoon session, when Congress legislators have walked out of the House every day, it was a lone party MLA who staged a walkout on the concluding day of the assembly. He said that on the issue even he had met Speaker in his chamber even then issues were not taken up. Kinnaur MLA Jagat Singh Negi alleged that speaker Dr Rajiv Bindal did not give the opposition enough opportunity to take up their issues.When Negi, a former deputy speaker, stood up to raise the matter in the House, he had the support of Congress MLAs. He said that bigger issues of public importance in which state government could be cornered were not listed.
