SHIMLA: Eight years after starting operations from a temporary campus, Central University of Himachal Pradesh can finally expect a permanent campus. Announcement of the opening of the university in every state without a central university was made on August 15, 2007. The Central University has been a sensitive issue for both the BJP and Congress, especially in Kangra district. The Central University will have two campuses in Dehra and Dharamshala.
