SHIMLA: The Himachal Pradesh high court has directed the Competent Authority for Land Acquisition (CALA)-cum-SDO (civil), Solan, to pass the award for shops and structures at Kumarhatti and Bada near Solan within a period of two weeks and ensure that the physical possession of the acquired properties is handed over to National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) on payment of compensation within next two weeks thereafter. “There shall be a further direction to the managing director of HPSEBL to immediately shift the towers within a period of four weeks,” it added.The court said that HPSEBL authorities would also coordinate with the project manager for the removal of electric poles on the Solan by-pass so that the land where such poles have been installed is also made available to the project manager at the earliest. “A separate status report by HPSEBL in this regard shall be filed before the next date of hearing,” it added.It said that in case no award has been passed for the land underneath the structure, let such award be also passed within a period of two weeks and the amount of compensation be disbursed..
