Himachal Pradesh governor Acharya Devvrat summons budget session from February 4

SHIMLA: Himachal Pradesh governor Acharya Devvrat has summoned the assembly session from February 4. However, the rest of the sittings would be covered in next sessions.The session will begin on February 4 with the address of governor and last up to February 18. The notification to this effect was issued on Monday by the secretary of the legislative assembly.Due to forthcoming parliamentary elections, there will be 13 sittings only. The supplementary budget for the year 2018-2019 will be presented on February 4 and budget estimates for the year 2019-2020 will be presented by chief minister Jai Ram Thakur on February 9.During the session, the discussion on the budget, demands and voting will also take place and the appropriation bills will be passed. Two days have also been earmarked for private members' business.Besides this, the House will also deliberate on important legislative business during the session.The speaker, Dr Rajeev Bindal , expressed hope that the members would utilize the house session for fruitful discussionson various matters of urgent public importance and the House will find unanimity on the issues of state's paramount interest..
