There are about 184 high schools and 347 senior secondary schools in this district, said an official.In first phase, government has placed about 80 machines in the region but these have failed to track teacher’s attendance as of now.When contacted, Subhash Ranaunt, the official at department of higher education monitoring the devices told TOI that attendance machines are giving up again and again for which concerned people have been called to put the system in place.“The work is underway” he added.Inquires revealed that few machines also asks for Adhaar Card number of every teacher at time of marking the attendance..
