The services of four trains will resume on the Kalka-Shimla Heritage Railway route from Monday.

The transparent roofed Vistadome train, Rail Motor Car, Shivalik Deluxe Express and Kalka-Shimla Festival Special train will resume operation.

A notification has been issued by the Railway Board regarding this the Northern Railway had stopped the operation of these trains in view of the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Only Kalka-Shimla mail was being operated between Kalka and Shimla.

After the increase in the influx of tourists to Shimla in this train, the Railways has decided to re-operate all the four trains that were closed from Monday.

Divisional Railway Manager GM Singh and Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Ambala Harimohan said that for the convenience of the passengers, four trains are being restored from Monday on the orders of the Railway Board.

The Vistadome train running on the Kalka-Shimla Heritage Railway track was stopped on April 24.

Last year, on the occasion of Christmas and New Year, the Railways started operating the Vistadome train between Kalka and Shimla.
