The Kullu administration has tightened the restrictions in Manali by imposing a fine of Rs 5000 on those who do not wear masks.

If the fine is not paid, then one can be sent to 8 days in jail.

Earlier, pictures of the huge crowd present at Menali went viral on social media.

Apart from Manali, other popular Himalayan towns like Mussoorie, Nainital, Shimla and Mcleodganj are flocked by tourists.

Many Twitter users claimed that so many tourists have reached Manali that people are not getting hotels to stay there.
