After the resignation of outgoing Chief Secretary Anil Kumar Khachi from government service on Thursday, Jairam Sarkar issued orders for the appointment of Ramsubhag Singh.

The government also relaxed the notice period of three months for resignation.

Khachi has been appointed as the new State Election Commissioner by the government.

On Wednesday, there was a stir in this regard in the assembly for the whole day.

Earlier, the term of State Election Commissioner P Mitra had ended in May.

Anil Khachi, a 1986 batch IAS officer, was appointed as the Chief Secretary on January 1, 2020.
