Bus accident leaves 43 Bhutan nationals injured in Himachal Pradesh

SHIMLA: Around 43 tourists from Bhutan were injured when a private bus they were travelling in rolled off the road and fell into a 20 feet gorge at Baner in Swarghat area of Bilaspur district in Himachal Pradesh on Saturday evening. The local people informed the officials about the accident and police and district administration officials rushed to the spot to carry rescue and relief operations. The private bus the bearing the registration number of Uttar Pradesh was on its way to Chandigarh from Manikaran in Kullu district.According to sources, after rolling down from the Chandigarh-Manali national highway the bus rolled off twice and then came to a halt upon hitting a tree. The seriously injured were taken to PGI Chandigarh, while others were admitted at government hospitals of Bilaspur and Nalagarh.Sources said that the accident occurred while giving pass to another vehicle, however, to know the exact reason police has registered a case and has started the investigations..
