However, with no rains in upper catchments of Maharastra and MP, the inflow in Ukai stopped by Sunday noon. However, this area being hilly, the water has already receded and with no rains on Sunday, there is no additional inflow likely in Tapi river. SURAT: With water flowing over the bridge on Sunday morning, for the first time this monsoon, the hydraulic department of Surat Municipal Corporatin closed the weir-cum-causeway. We are awaiting another spell of rains.”.
