Central government announces another ring road in city

SURAT: Mansukh Mandaviya, minister of state for road transport & highways, shipping and chemicals & fertilizers, announced construction of a new ring road by central government to give impetus to development and reduce traffic density in the city.He said the ring road would be a part of Bharatmala Pariyojana, a 5,35,000 crore project, and therefore its expenses would be borne by the central government. The Central Government will give Rs600 crore for the construction of this road,” Mandaviya said.The population of the triple cities of Surat-Navsari-Bardoli would be around 1.20 crore in 2031.
