We hope this to happen this year too.”The dam gives 4,000 million cubic metres (MCM) of water for irrigation, 300 MCM to industries and 600 MCM for drinking purposes in the region in a year. At present, the water level in the dam is 297 feet and until it gets filled up to at least 325 feet, approximately 80 per cent of its capacity, it will be difficult to provide water from it to people throughout the year..
