The burglars targeted Firestar Diamond International Pvt Ltd at Diamond Park SEZ plot number 17 to 20 in Sachin GIDC in the wee hours of Friday. Surat: Police arrested five people from the sealed diamond and jewellery manufacturing unit of Nirav Modi, fugitive economic offender who has been booked under Prevention of Money Laundering Act.The burglars were trying to commit theft in the unit sealed in February 2018 by Enforcement Directorate.Ranjit Vaghmare, 35; Rajesh Chauhan, 30; Abubakar Hokmidhi, 27; Sandeep Singh, 25; and Subhash Adhikari, 25, all residents of Mumbai, were arrested by police from the unit at Sachin GIDC police station area.
