Whereas, Chirag, his sisters Isha and Jigisha and Manjula Rana were under intensive care in different hospitals.Valsad police said they are investigating the reasons behind the car driver losing control. “It is not clear if the driver was driving under influence of alcohol,” they added. The marriage party was travelling in a bus, while eight people, including the newlyweds Chirag and Chaitali, were returning in the MUV.The car was being driven by Chaitali’s brother Nikunj Rana. Police said Nikunj lost control of the vehicle, jumped the divider and hit a truck in the opposite lane.The eight passengers inside the car sustained critical injuries and were were rushed to different hospitals for treatment in nearby towns including Valsad.Nikunj, Chaitali, Chirag’s aunt Yashvanti Rana and two-year-old Pusti Rana, Chirag’s niece, succumbed to injuries in the hospital..
