Surat: Hopes have been revived about the early completion of Safe City Surat project. Around 26 cameras, installed at a cost of Rs10 crore, were inaugurated at the hands of then chief minister Narendra Modi. In next two years, 578 CCTV cameras were installed in the city under public-private partnership. However, now the project will be completed with grants from MLAs Local Area Development Scheme.
