Ten fresh cases of swine flu in city and Surat district

Surat: Nine fresh cases of swine flu were detected in the city and one in Surat district on Friday. Eight patients have been put on ventilators, sources said. This has taken the number of swine flu patients in the city to 363 with five deaths and to 61 with five deaths in Surat’s rural areas since January 1.A one-year-old boy from Rampura, a three-and-half-year-old girl from Sarthana Jakatnaka, a 53-year-old woman from Althan, a 38-year-old woman from Puna Gam, a 47-year-old man from Mota Varachha, a 52-year-old man from Dindoli, a 59-year-old man from Udhna, a 50-year-old man from Bamroli and a 37-year-old woman from Bhestan had tested positive for swine flu in the city.There are still 34 patients in city’s different hospitals, receiving treatment for swine flu..
