Highest number of voters from Thane district in MLC polls

In Palghar, the voter turnout was 63.89 per cent wherein 10,850 of the total registered 16,982 voters turned out to vote. As many as 32,451 of the over 45,000 voters here, queued up at various polling centres in the district to choose their preferred representative to the House. Voters have to mark their preference in numericals on the ballot paper for casting the vote. The voting to these seats is also done manually unlike the use of electronic voting machines. Ratnagiri also saw 79.82 per cent where around 12,948 of 16,222 voters voted.The polls to elect the representative from the graduate’s constituency to the legislative council are conducted once every six years in all the divisions..
