Two held for selling turtles get forest custody

THANE: The two fish aquarium shop owners, who were arrested for selling protected turtle species recently, were sent to forest custody by a magistrate court on Friday. We sent one of our team members as a customer to KGN pet shop and Tayba pet shop, both of which had various species of the turtles that are protected under the Wildlife Protection Act,” said Girija Desai, assistant conservator of forests (Thane forest division).
