Campus-boost grant: Eight Mumbai institutes selected

Eight institutes from Mumbai have been selected to get Rs 5 crore each to improve overall excellence on campus. MUMBAI: Maharashtra has bagged the second-largest share of funds for improving the quality of its autonomous colleges. Colleges will have to submit a detailed plan on what they will do to improve quality. They need to have a minimum 70% of permanent faculty filled.At Ramnarain Ruia College , the grant will be used for improving teaching, learning and evaluation. Institutes had applied for funds under the challenge level funding programme.The infused money will have to be utilised within 18 months..
