Medical varsity eases exam dress code for its students

The university will review the implementation and issue fresh guidelines about dress code for summer exams 2019.For the first time this year, the Nashik-headquartered MUHS had introduced a dress code for students on November 10 to prevent cheating. Full-sleeve shirts and T-shirts, dark coloured trousers, wallets, shoes, bangles would not be allowed at the exam hall. After receiving negative feedback from several medical colleges on a recently introduced dress code for health science exams, the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) has decided to relax the norms for those wearing religious and cultural dresses.In a circular, dated November 16 and issued by the controller of examination Ajit Pathak, it was stated that students who want to wear cultural or traditional dress during the exam will have to report at the exam centre one-hour before scheduled time for proper frisking.According to MUHS authorities, this decision has been taken to avoid inconvenience to students and to maintain sanctity of the exam.Moreover, the change in dress code is applicable only for winter exams that start on November 27..
