THANE: A mishap between a car and a freight train was averted near the Parsik tunnel after a slow-moving train brushed past an unoccupied car which had been parked "too close" to the tracks on Sunday morning.The car driver, who had halted for a brief moment and stepped out of the car, after which the train came trundling along the line from Kalyan on its way to the Turbhe yard.Railway officials, who reached the spot soon after, said that the locomotive had gone past the car smoothly, but one of its wagons grazed past the vehicle after which the train was halted at once.A team from Thane railway station rushed to the spot and pulled the car aside and also impounded it..
