Her arrest was recorded on Friday by Karamana sub-inspector R S Sreekanth, based on a complaint filed by an autorickshaw driver. Though he initially wanted to keep the issue a secret out of shame, he later changed his mind and filed a complaint with the police. She had her accomplices waiting outside the house to charge in on cue and hand him over to the police. She locked the door from inside and demanded his gold chain and ring that weighed 5.5 sovereigns in total.
