Thiruvananthapuram | Friday | 31st August, 2018

Summary:

more-inThe State capital, which witnessed a massive relief material collection drive until a few days ago, has transitioned into a transit hub for goods that come from far-off places. The district administration has begun three storage centres to unpack loads of items, segregate, and repack them to be sent to relief camps across the State. With large quantities of relief items arriving by air and rail, the district administration is on the lookout for more temporary storage spaces such as auditoriums and godowns. Relief materials that reached the international terminal of the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport are being shifted to the Government College for Women. Those arrived at the domestic terminal were sent to All Saints College while relief goods coming by trains are being stacked at the Railway Kalyanamandapam in Thampanoor..
