Man held for job fraud

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kazhakkoottam police on Tuesday arrested a 45-year-old man, who had swindled money from several persons after promising to secure them jobs in Gulf countries and then went absconding. The police identified the accused as Nizar, a resident of Nadayara near Varkala.The police said that the accused was arrested based on a complaint filed by one Sanal of Menamkulam near Kazhakkoottam.During the probe, more people approached the police with the same complaint. It is suspected that the accused swindled a total of Rs 10 lakh from various job aspirants.Nizar was arrested by a team led by Kazhakkoottam station house officer inspector S Y Suresh, based on a tip off received by Kazhakkoottam Cyber City assistant commissioner R Anilkumar that the accused has secretly returned to his residence at Varkala.Nizar was produced before the court and was remanded in judicial custody..
