Thiruvananthapuram: The preliminary survey conducted across 14 wards, as part of Clean Killiyaar Mission, found that 20 drains emptied into the water body and solid waste was dumped at 119 spots. The questionnaire survey on ‘Puzhayarivu’ app was divided into six sections covering aspects like solid waste dump, side walls, storm water drain and other locations. There are several buildings along the river without serviced toilets.Stressing on formulating a master plan, the survey warned that development along the river has been left unchecked leading to encroachments..
