'Kerala can attract Japanese tourists'

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala , as a tourism destination, has the potential to attract more Japanese tourists to the state. Terumo Penpol, one of the leading blood bag manufacturers in the world based out of Thiruvanantahpuram, has been approved by the Union ministry for coordinating the training programme. If adequate promotion takes place, there would be considerable flow of tourists to Kerala, Japanese ambassador to India, Kenji Hiramatsu said here on Tuesday.He was addressing a meet-the-press programme organized in connection with the inauguration of Japan India Institute for Manufacturing (JIM), a collaborative programme for skill training. Japan has much to offer for travellers from Kerala, he said.The ambassador said Janapese cooperation and investment were very much welcomed by all states in India.
