Incident-free darshan for transwomen

Police had promised them security following which they reached Pamba Tuesday morning.Meanwhile, the CrPC 144 declared by the Pathanamthitta district collector at Nilackal, Pamba and Sannidhanam will end on Tuesday night. Thiruvananthapuram: The four transwomen who were stopped and sent back midway by police while heading towards Sabarimala for darshan on Sunday climbed the holy steps and offered prayers at the hill shrine on Tuesday morning. They were accompanied by a strong contingent of police from Pamba to Sannidhanam. It is learnt that the police have requested to extend the prohibitory orders till Makaravilakku to ensure an incident-free pilgrimage season..
