The state on Friday reported 5,610 new Covid-19 positive cases.
With this, the total cases reported in the state rose to 9,56,421.
Among the new cases, 5,131 people have contracted the virus through local transmission and sources of infection in 350 cases were not known.
Among those infected include 28 healthcare professionals and 101 people who have arrived from outside the state were also tested positive.
As many as 6,653 patients have recovered from the disease.
